Description

Known in legend as the home of Robinson Crusoe, Tobago remains one of the most unspoiled and beautiful islands of the Caribbean. The island features great snorkeling and scuba diving, a rain forest, and the most friendly people. Located in the popular Crown Point area, Sandy Point Beach Club is both comfortable and casual, offering long, lazy days and unforgettable sunsets. There are many good little restaurants nearby, as well as the island's two most famous beaches. At Sandy Point's small beach, during certain times of the year, currents remove the sand exposing a coral seabed.

Just got back from a week's vacation at Sandy Point, September 2010. The island is very small and SPBC is somewhat off to its self near the airport. It set on the ocean but not for swimming, you must walk to Store Bay or shuttled to Pigeon Point. The property is ideal for families, younger sect, maybe not. Most of the employee were great with activities provided all week. The island prefer to deal in TT dollars, so you had better be able to calculate fast. You can walk to the airport where the bank, a few stores, craft market and restaurants are located. No direct flights to Tobago, must connect once you get to Trinidad on their airline (20 minutes) or by fast ferry (2 hours).

Resort is fairly small so you get to know everyone staying there. Kept the parties going into the wee hours. Staff are very nice once you learn their rules. A must is to always say Good Morning, evening or whatever when you go to the desk for something. Units are comfortable and very well stocked. Units are in the process of being remodeled and updated.

Tobago itself is a fabulous place - just beautiful and the people are wonderful. I can't wait to go back again.

Wonderful climate all year. Well maintained. All English language. Excellent snorkeling and scuba numerous locations -- right at resort and nearby.

Recommend LaRochelle restaurant in Scarborough (nearby) = best food ever! Or buy groceries and cook in your unit.

Reasonable car rental. Drive the entire island in one day. Wonderful people. Lots to see. Delicious free mangos on the ground lots of places.
