The Broome Park estate has three separate
timeshare resorts. They are the Broome Park
Owners Club (the only RCI affiliated one -
silver crown) which has studios and
apartments within the main building. The club
originally leased them for 35 years (ending
2015) from the owners, (now Sunterra) but
run independently. Club Sunterra at Broome
Park has two-bedroom wooden lodges in the
grounds and runs the reception facilites in the
main building. Finally, Regency Villas at
Broome Park, consists of a number of
relatively-modern, bungalow-type, 2-bedroom
properties around a fountain (pictured on this
page) in a walled garden within the estate.
Sunterra and Regency Villas are both Interval
International resorts.
All three share the tennis courts, games room
and other facilities within the mansion house.
New leisure facilites, including an indoor
swimming pool, are currently under
construction, with an estimated completion
date of Christmas/New Year 2007/8. In the
meantime swimming pool/spa
facilities are available free of charge at a hotel
in Hythe (some 12 miles away).
If you're into golf, you'll not move
out of the estate, as it has one of the finest
courses in the South of England. If, like me,
you can't stand it you'll definitely need a car,
as the estate is in the middle of nowhere -
some 12 miles from places such as Dover,
Folkestone and a number of Kent coast
favourites such as Margate, Ramsgate and
Broadstairs. The nearest main town is
Canterbury, not only notable for its cathederal
but as an excellent shopping centre too. Day
trips to London or Paris are quite possible for
those based at Broome Park.
