Holiday Club at Saariselka lies some 300 km north of the Arctic Circle. The village has developed into a well-known holiday centre where visitors enjoy all kinds of winter sports and tours into the wilderness of Lapland. Snowmobile safaris and dog-sledge rides, reindeer watching, cross-country and downhill skiing can all be followed by lively activities, live music, and dancing. In summer you can try your hand at gold- panning in the river and canoeing, and year-round there are fitness and spa facilities at a nearby hotel. A car is recommended in low season.
