This timeshare is tired. The upholtstered furniture is very worn. The ameneties are poor. The food at the restaurant is very mediocre. They are currently a sliver crown resort largely because they are pushing their members to give exceptional ratings to increase their exchange value (an article in their in house newletter.

Did not like the iron gates on the patio. Ask for a garden view instead. No air conditioning. Lots of activities in the evening which closes the pool from any use.

Decent enough location - don't get mixed up with Marbella Club which IS in Marbella and quite more expensive! Club Marbella is located in Sitio de Calahonda - not directly on the beach. Costa del Sol is infiltrated with foreigners - so don't be surprised to meet as many Brits, Irish, Scots, Dutch or Germans as you do Spaniards!

The resort featured 2 bedroom apartments which were decently furnished although a little worn. Washer, no dryer, but makes sense for a "beach- type" resort (instructions for use in English behind the kitchen door). Kitchen furnished for 6 - everything that we needed for fixing a nice breakfast or simple dinner. Beware the toaster which are really broiler type of machines - I burned my toast to the point that the windows had to be opened!

The apartment was generally very clean with a couple of problems that housekeeping took care of right away. The electricity runs from a card check in point at the inside of the door. Rest assured you can remove the card as the frig and the hot water are on different breakers. There is a flat 18 euro charge for electricity at the end of your one week stay.

We were on the 3rd level (which in Europe is considered the 2nd floor) with a view of the pool. There is a heated indoor pool which requires the use of swimming caps (a Spanish law we were told), a good sized heated outdoor pool and a smaller kiddie pool. The kiddie pool probably works best in the very hot part of the summer as it is unheated and doesn't much in the way of direct sunlight - your kid might catch a chill instead!!

There is a hairstylist on location and massages are available as well, a small exercise room, a racketball room, and probably something else that I'm forgetting since I didn't use it!

Simon provides a wealth of information related to tours and local attractions, and provides some well heeded suggestions based on your interests. I found some of the front desk employees to be more helpful and friendly than others, just like anyplace.

The computer room was set up a short distance from the pool. My only complaint about this resort is that hours are posted for the room, but the door was frequently locked during the hous. After a trip up to reception, I was told that the room was closed (an hour before the posted time) and that the door could absolutely not be opened until the next morning (advised an hour before the time posted on the door). Next circumstance, my daughter was given a passcode to get in. Appears to be a lack of consistency in employee knowledge of the resort amenitites.

The flamenco show sponsored by the resort was very good considering they have a small stage in the restaurant/snack bar/bar. We thoroughly enjoyed it - and this was the only evening entertainment that we viewed at the resort, although several things were offered, including a karaoke night. Which unfortunely, you get to hear inside your apartment if you don't have some type of noise (music, TV) going on in your room to mask it. Since this rarely gets started before 9 or 9:30, you may want to ask for something away from the pool if you go to bed early.

The food in the restaurant was pretty good! I had a decent rosado fish meal for lunch one day and was pleased with the quality.

Close enough to visit several wonderful cities - Ronda, Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Cadiz, Tarifa, and Gibralter and Tangier, Morocco.

Quite acceptable rooms - the bedrooms are small but more than adequate. The staff was excellent - helpful, courteous and alert. Location is good with respect to restaurants, and shopping. Clean, well maintained

Stayed here, stayed at Matchroom Mijas, and also at Club Sultan. Matchroom was a better resort from an apartment point of view. This place was nice but not AS nice as Matchroom. BUT...there was way more to do here and it's a much larger resort. Plus it's walking distance to lots. I gave it a 4. Definitely a 4 or 5 for things to do and have fun at. It's a good all around place.
