Description

Blind Pass Condominiums is a medium sized complex on the Gulf of Mexico with a large tropical property inviting and enhancing nature. It is located away from other condo complexes on the best beach on the island.

The complex at Blind Pass offers on site management, a large and uniquely designed pool, two beautifully renovated tennis courts, a lagoon for boating and cable tv in all units. Units offered are two bedroom/two bathroom "flats", two bedroom/two and half bathroom townhouses and three bedroom flats. All units are individually owned and decorated, supplied, updated and maintained both according to rental regulations as well as allowing for creativity on the parts of owners.

This unit been newly renovated with many upscale touches including an expanded, luxury bath in master and ensuite baths in both master and guest bedroom. We offer our guests three TV's and VCR's as well as a high grade stereo unit. This Condominium has many, many extras not even found in much higher priced rental units on Sanibel and Captiva.

If you want to experience Sanibel Island in an environment of tropical, natural, seclusion this is the complex! Before we purchased at Blind Pass Condominiums, we stayed at several resorts on the Island and were most impressed with the off the beaten path location of the Blind Pass complex. Almost all the other complexes are right in a row and one can see people up and down the beach. At BP, you are more likely to see birds on the beach then other humans.

Another compelling reason to stay at this complex is the large, beautifully maintained and nicely shaped pool. Our rental guests constantly comment on the pristine pool environment.

Each unit is decorated differently and sometimes renovated differently. Our own condo, E201, offers two master suites though that is unusual in the complex. What is a common element is the size of the units and split plan of the bedrooms in the condos. They offer more privacy and more space than other units on the Island. You are best served by considering what you want in the way of decor and supplies and assuring that the unit you choose meets your needs.

Though not directly on the Gulf, the complex is a short walk to the beach with no streets to cross. The price point on the units is generally hundreds of dollars less than Gulf front complexes while at the same time offering units with more space and more privacy.

Blind Pass Condominiums are most often a quiet and passive enjoyment environment. The on site management assures guests that their needs will be addressed with expediency. There is free canoe and kayak use as well as free use of the tennis courts. When weighing value, I believe the discerning vacationer will find a huge advantage in choosing Blind Pass Condominiums for their holiday stay.

My friend and I stayed at Joel and Syl's E-201 2 bedroom 2 bath condo from May 29-June 5, 2010, and enjoyed our stay. Although older, the unit is very large and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the laundry units that were adjacent were used and appreciated. We enjoyed having the three TV's, the large comfortable dining and living room where we relaxed in the evenings. We are beachcombers who loved to search for and collect shells. We spent our early mornings and our sunset hours shelling. The Gulf is just a short walk from the units. We enjoyed the wildlife and the walk over the bridge to the path to the Gulf. We enjoyed the quiet privacy of our unit.

Although heat and humidity can be a problem, it was no problem in this unit. The air conditioning was excellent. The water quality in the unit was also good.

We enjoyed shopping, dining, visiting the Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve, and taking a short boat ride to a nearby barrier island where we searched for more shells.

Sanibel Island is pristine and beautiful.

We have made plans to return in two years.

Disagree with the positive review. The wildlife path to the water is nice, but the maintenance in this complex was not well-kept up. There was a problem with the heat in the pool and it wasn't always clean, plus we'd reported some issues that never got resolved. On the night that a lot of new people checked into Blind Pass, not a car door shut without us hearing it. So the next morning, catching that 7am flight out, was not fun. I think your money could be better spent, close by but not here.

Quiet well kept place with nice heated pool. New brick pavers on pool deck and cared for clubhouse area. Boardwalk to the beach for beautiful sunsets with occasional dolphin sightings and lots of sea shells.

This 2nd floor unit is very neatly kept and decorated and was quite comfortable for our party of 6 including 2 quiet well mannered children under age 8. I'd recommend this place anytime. Dining out was also a treat with many options to choose from.

For the traveler seeking to relax, this is one place you'd be glad you visited. The owner(s) and staff personnel were pleasant and a joy to communicate with. We arrived very late and we had no problem with accessability, great communication from start to finish. www.DebJimM.com, our compliments......
