We have been vacationing in Aruba for over 20 years. We have owned a one bedroom unit at the Divi Village since it opened and also own at the Marriott Ocean Club. Both locations have their distinct attributes.
The major advantage of the Divi Village is that it offers a more serene setting and is less formal. The private entrance to our time share vs a carpeted lobby is a nice plus.
The view is from our unit is spectaculer. The bathroom is spacious as is the living area. While the kitchen serves our needs, it doesn't compare to those at the Marriott Ocean Club. Additionally, I would like to see in-room Internet access included for no extra charge. Many of the resorts have made this move and I am hopeful that the Divi Village will be proactive about it.
As an added bonus...the new golf course has a great layout, superb vistas and is very well maintained.
The beach is uniquely quiet and beautiful. We spend countless hours under a palapa reading and relaxing. Unlike many of the resort beaches, this one is not crowded.
We'll always look forward to our annual visit to the Divi Village and to see familiar staff faces that greet us every January.

We own the penthouse, week 9, at Divi Village and we love it. Brought our kids 12 years ago and fell in love with Aruba--so took the leap and bought a time-share-have to say it was the best investment ever. Our staff at Divi is the best. The Manager, Mr. Griffith, does everything he can to please and accomodate requests from guest. The only downfall is when we have to return back to our snowy climate.

The Divi Village needs a serious makeover. While the outside looks fine, the inside is long overdue for an update. The refrigerator was so old it wouldn't even close. The balcony has a nice view, but with no airflow, the bugs and heat were unbearable. The room had a moldy and musty smell. The beach is right across the street (pretty beach). The beach bar that serves the beach is also beat up. The staff was o.k. It is not what I am used to and left for 4 Star hotel to finish up the week.

We've been going to this resort for over 10 years. We've tried several other timeshare resorts in Aruba, and nothing compares to Divi Village. GREAT rooms, views, pools, beach right across the road, large balconies, a jacuzzi in every room - what more could you ask for? (Oh yeah, now they have golf). Last year, we couldn't get an extra week at Divi Village and had to stay elsewhere. Sooo disappointing. Once you've had the best...... I don't think we'll ever stay anywhere else in Aruba.

Everyone states: "You have to go to Aruba." If you mention the Divi, everyone knows about it. If you have not been, you must experience it. If you love to eat and eat well, this is the place. Whether you love fun or lounging to get away, you will find it here. There is something for everyone. The wheather is a perfect 80 degrees. The nights coupled with the sunsets and the color of the nights sky are breath taking... The Divi Village is memorable, especially when viewed at night - we said "We're staying there!" Shop at the Seaport. Dine at The Crabhouse. Enjoy Sushi on a comfortable day. Venture to La Trattoria for genuine italian cuisine. Finish cooking your own Lobster Tail and Beef Tenderloin on a balcony overlooking the nightlife and a parking lot of Cruise Ships. Try to reserve a table at El Goucho steak house. Have the time of your life at Carlos and Charlies. Take a ride on the wild side at The Black Hog Saloon where Harley's show off right inside of the establishment - get a ride for free - Kids: hop on the bumper boats, play miniature golf. Do you like to dance? Try to imitate the Latin dancing. Do you Gamble? Have fun. Catch some Sun - in the open or under a straw umbrella. Sip on Carribean Cocktails - on the beach or in an open bar in the midst of a sunset. You just can't beat it. We go every year...

Great resort with a european flavour. The units in this place are spectacular, resort staff makes a vacation happen. The beach is just across the street.Make sure to wear your sandles, the sand on the beach is very hot :) A jeep tour of the island is very highly recommended.
