We bought in May 2007 and have enjoyed every stay at South Beach Resort. It is nestled in among the links of Midway Par-3 East Golf Course and just across South Ocean Boulevard from its own ocean front access, Breezes Beach Club. It is far enough off Ocean Boulevard to provide quiet solitude in every unit, and yet very proximate to many of the entertainment attractions along The Strand. The pools are nice and both units in which we have stayed provided plenty of space, great decor and quiet solitude for the whole family. The master suite is spacious. Each year, an owner receives-- for every week owned--numerous coupons for complimentary or deeply-discounted recreational opportunities in the Myrtle Beach area, including Par 3 golf, miniature golfing at 4 or 5 locations, NASCAR Waves & Speed Park, Pavilion Nostalgia Park and others. What a comprehensive experience to enjoy much of what the Myrtle Beach area has to offer!

Finally, we have appreciated its great exchange value for other RCI resorts in both Florida and North Carolina. We are very happy with our two-week ownership at South Beach Resort and anticipate many improvements under the new management of Holiday Inn Club Vacations.

We bought our week before any buildings were complete. We go back each year because it is wonderful-beautiful decor, relaxing surroundings, plenty of space for all the guests to enjoy the on-site pools and events. With two other timeshares we trade for all over the country ( and many resorts in Myrtle Beach) but this is the only resort we are compelled to return to each year. It has everything! Our kids range from 8-18 and there is something for all of us. Being at the end of the strand cuts out a lot of the mess of traffic and noise. The staff is always accomodating and friendly. By far the best resort in town!

My husband, my daughter, my parents & I, all went to South Beach resort in April of 2006 and we had a ball!!! This resort has everything you could think of! We had a GORGEOUS 2 bedroom condo on the third floor. It over looked the strip along the beach! We couldn't quite see the beach but it was still gorgeous! I would reccommend this resort to anyone who wants to get away! I loved it!

We went the week of July 4 and had a very good time. You have to cross a highway to get to the beach but it was a short walk. It had everything we needed to have a very nice vacation. There was plenty of activities for kids and adults. All the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We toured this resort in August before it was completed. It was an exceptional tour. What soured the whole thing was the place that we were put up in. We stayed at Myrtlewood.....where we were not treated well at all. They knew in advance that we would have 6 adults with us......we paid extra to have an extra bedroom.....however we were only given 4 towels. When I called for more, we were told that what was there was there......extras were not usually distributed. We had to go to Walmart and buy toilet paper and dishsoap. My son-in-law raised the hood of his van to check his oil, (we traveled from Indiana) and one of the upstairs tenants threatened to call the police because of suspicious activity. We knew we would have to pay tax on our package at check in, however, they charged us the tax on VALUE of the week, not what we actually paid for it! I thought tax was paid on dollars spent....not worth!! Our patio screen door was torn and bugs galore could come in. We also had small children with us that wanted to play on the patio. The mattress of our KING sized bed was two twin mattresses on a king sized frame!! If you were a middle-of-the bed sleeper, you slept in a crack!! This is the reason we did NOT purchase a week at South Beach resort. We bought the package through them to tour THEIR resort. They are the ones who chose where we would stay. I feel they should have made some kind of compensation for the things that happened to us during our stay.(not sure what.........offered to move us or something!) This however, was not the case. I love Myrtle Beach but will probably NOT stay at Myrtlewood or deal with South Beach Resort again.
