Kihei's Kamaole Sands is a beautiful 15 acre property located directly across from Kamaole Beach III. As you walk among the resort's fish ponds, waterfalls, and fountains, you can't help but relax. World class golf, shopping, dining, and ocean activities are all just a short drive away, and some of Maui's best beaches are within easy walking distance.
Kamaole Sands offers spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom timeshare accommodations with limited, garden, and partial ocean views. One-bedroom units offer a queen bed in the bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Two-bedroom units offer a queen bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the guest bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Three-bedroom units are two-story suites with a master bedroom upstairs, and two bedrooms downstairs. Kamaole Sands condominiums have all the comforts of home including a fully equipped kitchen, wet bar, private lanai, high-speed Internet, TV/VCR, air conditioning, and plenty of room to spread out. Large, well appointed bathrooms make sharing a condo with several guests easier.
While at Kamaole Sands, take your kids to the play area or to the resort wading pool. Work your muscles on the tennis courts, then loosen them up in the jet spa. End your day with a family barbecue or sipping Mai Tais at the resort's weekly pool party event.
In Maui, hiking, biking, and watersports abound. Take an exhilarating bike ride down Haleakala volcano. Come in for a pit stop at Hookipa Beach, one of the windsurfing capitals of the world. Spend a perfect day driving along the rainforest cliffs on the road to Hana. Discover black, white, and red sand beaches, and secluded pools and waterfalls.

We just returned from Maui with four days at this resort.
The unit was not good! The owners clothes were in plastic boxes in the closets-No room for our clothes.
The refrigerator leaked on one of the shelves inside. The A.C. filter needed to be cleaned-Very little air. Our son-in-law cleaned the filter and inspected the unit. (He is an electricin) Water was leaking all over the deck. Doors fell off their hinges.
We complained but were told, "Next time ask for a refurbished unit!
They didn't inform us about the Mai Tai party. Someone told us an hour into the party. At that point the Mai Tai's were gone!
The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Close access to the beach and stores.
We were so glad to leave for Kanapalli for a wonderful week with no problems.
Never again will we spend time at Kamaole Sands.

3 of us stayed in a 1 bedroom two bath unit in April 2005. Unit was spacious and well-maintained. Grounds were excellent. as were the swimming pool and tennis courts. Beach was a few steps across the street and had plenty of shade and sand, a rare combo! My 83 year old mother loved it as much as my husband and I! We met the nicest people around the pool who had come from many countries. Everyone was enjoying their stay! Checkin was a breeze, concierge very helpful. Loved it and can't wait to return!

My family of five stayed here last summer in a great two bedroom ( wih loft) The condo was filled with lovely vacation items, books, games, movies. The pool was clean and the grounds well maintained. The neighborhood was also good. The beach across the street was walking distance, even with kids. During our stay we had litle ants with wings on a wall at dusk and the resort was quick and took care of it. I would stay again

This place is a dump. The 5 star rating is obviously a mistake. The service was non- exsistant. There was a hole in the elevator floor with a piece of plywood thown over it. The beach is OK but is across the road. Any place would be better than this!
