The Grandview at Las Vegas is a 12-story, 624-unit timeshare resort situated on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. All one- and two-bedroom units are decorated in a serene, desert sunset motif and feature a king bed in the bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in the living area, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, large-screen TV and DVD player in the living area, and jacuzzi tub.
The resort is across the street from the South Coast Hotel and Casino.
Whether you were a fan, or just appreciated the outrageous costumes, the Liberace Museum is a must see. It's all there: the rhinestone-studded, fur-draped costumes; the mind-boggling jewelry, including a small token of affection from Queen Elizabeth II; the pianos and cars, among them a 1934 Mercedes Excalibur covered in Austrian rhinestones; and photos, press clippings, and memorabilia which tell the story of the man who helped put Las Vegas on the map.

Our stay was the first week of January 2011. We had a great time and plan on returning. For others like myself who like gathering as much info as possible prior to taking a trip, I thought I would pass along helpful hints from our experience:
*The room itself- Check-in was very quick and easy. We had no trouble finding our unit. It was very clean, the jacuzzi tub was fabulous, the one bedroom had plenty of room for two to have their own space (especially when your guy is watching Super Bowl playoffs Sat and Sun afternoon), and the kitchen had all the normal appliances and utensils you would expect. The two bedroom is two one bedroom units connected by a common entryway. Perfect for two couples traveling together, or folks with older children.
*Timeshare presentation- Have to say we did attend one. Best advice is to go as early in your stay as possible. We firmly and politely declined all offers and were in and out in 90 min with $150 in food vouchers for the Southpoint casino which is next door.
*Staff and services- Front desk was always nice and helpful. The day we checked in we thought there was a problem with the TV. Maintenance was there within 30 min, turns out the TV worked fine, it was human error using the remote. If you stay 7 nights, the room will be cleaned once mid-stay. There is a garbage chute on every wing of every floor. We were quite pleased to see security walking the premises during the evenings and nights. There were no vagrants, or any other disturbances.
*Transportation- Car rental was available from the concierge desk, but there were no rentals available when we wanted. We walked to the car rental up the street about 1/2 mile. There was plenty of parking at the timeshare. A cab to the strip cost $30 each way, plus tip. Grandview does have a shuttle to the strip, $8 each way. You do have to go on their schedule to their dropoff/pickup points, which was not unreasonable. The shuttle will also take you to the airport for $8, and you need to preschedule. A free shuttle goes several times a week to the grocery store, so make sure you know the times for it. There was a public transportation system bus that ran from the Southpoint, but we never attempted to use it.
*Gaming- The Southpoint is directly next door, no more than a 10 minute walk from any of the units. The casino has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, several very good restaraunts, and a good buffet. There is a large movie theater and bowling alley within the casino building, and they also have a spa and liquor store. It is a very short drive over to the M or Silverton.
*Grounds and amenities- We did not use the pool area because we were there in Jan. The snack bar/convenience shop had very little, some paper goods and egg/bread/milk staples. There was a business center that I used on a daily basis for free. There were about 8 terminals and a printer. You are automatically logged off after 30 min of useage, but you can log back on the terminal as long as nobody is waiting. You can purchase show and entertainment tickets for strip venues from the concierge at some pretty good discounts, they have a flier available so you can think about your options.
We hope this info is useful to any and all heading to Vegas. We enjoyed our stay at the Grandview and do plan on returning.

Just stayed a week at the Grandview. Rooms are nice, spacious, and quiet. I was disappointed with the onsite restaurant / snack bar, pool area, and workout room. Workout room was small with outdated equipment although functional. Pool area needed an upgrade on towels and chairs as I would have expected a little more luxury in this area. Onsite store, restaurant (did not exist), and snack bar needs upgraded. I would stay here again but it would not be my first choice.

Just returned from Grandview last night on the sat/sat week. 1st time there and everthing was great, haven't been to Vegas in about 15yrs. and has it changed! Glad I own at grandview (and no i didn't buy from a developer) And yes it is great to get away from the strip which has gotten very hectic, much preffered freemont st.it is great, south point next door has everying and liked the M farther to the south. Stayed in a 1bdr.everything was just like the pictures with more buildings going up all the time.Ample shopping close buy from grocerys to gas to factory outlets to discount liquor stores (everybody needs cold beer). We had a car rental so didn't use the grandviews shuttle, we had a great time and are going back in march.
