The Grandview at Las Vegas is a 12-story, 624-unit timeshare resort situated on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. All one- and two-bedroom units are decorated in a serene, desert sunset motif and feature a king bed in the bedroom, queen sleeper sofa in the living area, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, large-screen TV and DVD player in the living area, and jacuzzi tub.
The resort is across the street from the South Coast Hotel and Casino.
Whether you were a fan, or just appreciated the outrageous costumes, the Liberace Museum is a must see. It's all there: the rhinestone-studded, fur-draped costumes; the mind-boggling jewelry, including a small token of affection from Queen Elizabeth II; the pianos and cars, among them a 1934 Mercedes Excalibur covered in Austrian rhinestones; and photos, press clippings, and memorabilia which tell the story of the man who helped put Las Vegas on the map.

Just returned from Grandview last night on the sat/sat week. 1st time there and everthing was great, haven't been to Vegas in about 15yrs. and has it changed! Glad I own at grandview (and no i didn't buy from a developer) And yes it is great to get away from the strip which has gotten very hectic, much preffered freemont st.it is great, south point next door has everying and liked the M farther to the south. Stayed in a 1bdr.everything was just like the pictures with more buildings going up all the time.Ample shopping close buy from grocerys to gas to factory outlets to discount liquor stores (everybody needs cold beer). We had a car rental so didn't use the grandviews shuttle, we had a great time and are going back in march.

Outstanding location close to the action but outside the hectic tourist- clogged main strip. Beautifully decorated and luxurious. Hospitality of staff is unbeatable. We loved the pool and fitness center. Toured Hoover Dam, fished on Lake Mead, horseback riding in the Red Rock Canyon - all within 4 day stay... even had time to gamble/dine at the next door South Point Casino. Would definitely recommend!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful!!!! The hospitality started from the telephone operators in the call center to the front desk clerks, just wonderful!!!! The kitchen was FULLY stocked which is a great plus if you plan on cooking. The whole family loved the pool with the waterfall. This is a great resort! Timeshare presentation can be lengthy.

I just returned from a week at Grandview from 11/3/07 through 11/10/07. Fantastic!!! I had a one bedroom condo in the Lily tower. Check in was smooth w/o much hassle or fanfare. They politely asked if I wanted to go through the timeshare meeting which I politely declined. All the staff on the property were polite and helpful. I read other reviews about the safety of the parking lot but it appeared well manned at the entrances and very safe. We saw no problems and were not worried about our belongings in the rental car. The location is a short drive from the rental car lot. It was easy to find. I found the location to the strip to be very convenient. I just pulled up to valet parking at any casino and strode in. Very convenient! The one bedroom was very spacious and well appointed. I'll never stay in a hotel again! The new South Point casino is located right next door. Although not flashy like strip casinos, it had nice restaurants and a great buffet. I highly recommend the Grandview and will choose it again when I travel to Las Vegas.

Very spacious rooms. Staff very friendly. Don't go to the timeshare sales talk. We went to get $10 Mama Mia tickets. They said it would be a 90 minute talk. We started complaining after 90 min but finally got out at 2 hrs. We spoke to others who said they were there for 5 hours!! Pool and Jacuzzi were great.

We have stayed at the Grandview twice and really love the place. You do need to rent a car if you plan to go anywhere because if is quite a bit south of the strip. We enjoy being far enough away that gambling is not the first temptation every morning! The South Point Casino is just across the street - an easy walk if you need a gambling "fix". The buffet and the cafe there are also nice places to eat.
We love the pool area - 2 pools (one with a small waterfall) and 2 hot tubs on two levels with plenty of space to relax. Pool towels are rather hard to come by but that really wasn't a big issue.
The Absolute Only Thing that keeps me from returning is the Internet Access. We are able to make it to Vegas several times a year only because we can continue to do business while there and the internet is essential to that. I prefer not to have to move my laptop and paperwork to the lobby in order to get the days business done.
If internet is not a necessity to you and you are comfortable renting a car this is a fantastic place to stay!!!

Dec. 29/06 to Jan.5/07
Our family rented a two bedroom unit for the New Years week in Vegas. This resort was extremely comfortable for us and our teenagers enjoyed the pools and hot tub. The building we were in provided a beautiful view to the main pools. The pools were very attractive and beautifully lighted at night.
We enjoyed being able to get away from the hussle and chaos of the main strip area. We enjoyed the peace and relaxation the Grandview offered. We rented a car for the week so we could go sight seeing to Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. But the Vegas Strip trolley was operating on the strip from the Grandview all the way down to all the main casino area. We prefer to rent a car so we have our independance, but if all we wanted to do was travel up and down the strip, the trolley would have served our needs. There was also a shuttle service between the grandview and a grocery store for grandview guests to pick up groceries for their units.
We visited all the main hotels and casinos on the strip, but we really enjoyed being able to go back to our comfortable condo with lots of room for us to spread out. The amenities of this resort, the furnishings, decorating, equipment, etc. all were excellent.
The South Point Casino next door to the Grandview is a great casino too. It is huge like most casinos. They seem to offer alot of entertainment events that the main strip casinos don't like horse shows, monster truck shows, etc. There is also an impressive 64 lanes of bowling, and very large movie theatre complex in this casino and an arcade for kids and babsitting services for parents who might like to play the casino slots or tables for a few hours and leave their kids in safe care. The South Point Casino seemed to be a family friendly place.

We, my husband, me, daughter (16 yr/ and neice 12 yr) stayed there from August 30 through Sept 1. We had a two bedroom lockout unit which was just perfect. I just love bringing home clean clothes. They even give you laundry soap. The pool was just across the way and the girls used it every day. There is maid service on one day which was very nice. It is true about the internet being in the main building, but there are 3-4 computers in there and when the girls and my husband went to use, there was never a line or any problem. The shuttle runs almost non- stop. It was a great feature to use.
The food at the South Coast which was about 100 steps door to door was also very good and very reasonably priced. We did rent a car because we traveled, but you really don't need one. Take the shuttle to the strip and the trolley or monorail takes you up and down the strip. Overall the Grandview was more than we thought it was going to be especially after reading the reviews.

This is the nicest of the many timeshares I have stayed at. Lock-off floor plan has identical floor plans on sides A and B, unlike most that have a large unit on one side and a studio on the other. BOTH sides have a large Jacuzzi (brand, the real thing) in the main bedroom; nice bathroom with oversize vanity and double sinks, washer/dryer, large living room with pull-out couch, big screen TV and DVD player, and excellent kitchen and separate dining area. Pool area is gorgeous and includes hot tub and fitness center.
We found the staff to be extremely well- trained and helpful. About the only negative is that there was no Internet service in the rooms although, they have free wireless internet access in the computer room and main lobby area. The adjacent South Coast casino is now open and has many amenities including a 16-screen theatre, bowling and restaurants. Don't really need a car as they have shuttle service that goes to the strip every 1/2 hour until 6:00 pm and after 6:00 pm every hour until 2:00 a.m.
Great place to stay, hope to own there soon.

Nice place, not too organized at check-in. Strong manure smell from livestock shows at the South Coast Casino right next door.
All in all I would reccommend it, because it's fairly new and you can get to the strip in about 10 minutes.

This is the nicest of the many timeshares I have stayed at. Exchanged a week in Hawaii for this (visited Aug 2005) and we were delighted.
We found the staff to be extremely well-trained and helpful. About the only negative is that there was no Internet service in the rooms available, only some computers in a separate room off the lobby, but I believe that has been remedied now. The adjacent South Coast casino is now open and has many amenities including a 16-screen theatre and restaurants (the rumor is they are very good for the money).
Rent a car as this is on the south end of the Strip, but it's only a few minutes from Luxor/Tropicana/NY NY/MGM and McCarren airport. You will enjoy the Grandview!

We stayed there in Jan 06 and while the units are nice (brand new in fact), I cannot recommend this resort for a Vegas trip. The main problem is transportation. It is a $25 to $40 taxi ride to the strip, then another $25 to $40 to get back later that night! Now for the fun part, there are never any taxis available here, you must walk next door to the South Coast and usually even there you are forced to wait 15 to 20 minutes for a taxi.
If you are going to rent a car, and dont mind being away from the action, then this might not matter to you. Just remember in Vegas you are usually drinking more than you do at home and you really dont want a drunken driving arrest in Vegas! They do offer a shuttle, however it has several hours each day that it does not run, and it is way too small. There are always more people waiting than seats available, and they only go to and from the Tropicana.
As for amenities and activities: THERE ARE NONE, unless you count bead stringing, and a free cappuccino. There is no convenience store or restaurant on property, however the South Coast casino is now open next door and they do have good food. The buffet is very good for the price ($12).

We stayed there July 22-29 and enjoyed our stay. However, the room they assigned us was occupied. Imagine walking into a room at 3:00am and others are there! It took 25 minutes to to get another room. The shuttle service was on time but a car may be more convenient. The decor is nice and colorful. The walls are paper-thin so try to get a two bedroom. Several activities were offered daily and we enjoyed the pool area.

The property is well situated and is new. All services are plus 10. The employee's all try to help.
We had a marvelous time and could not ask for a better property.
I understand the casino next door will be open the third quarter of 2005 which will make it even better.

Having just returned from the resort this resort is getting better all the time. The units are immaculate which is only expected for a resort that has only just opened. A two bedroomed unit is in fact two one bedroom with separate doors and two dining, kitchen and living areas. A large jaccuzzi bath is in the bedroom with a seperate massive shower and toilet and wash basin area.
There are two 12 storey blocks at present with a third under construction. The construction does not disturb you.
There is also an hotel and casino being built next to the resort with apparently a link to the resort being built. Another 10 buildings are planned over the next few years. The shuttle now runs from 9am to 4am taking you to the grocery store or the strip. A special run to Fremont Street takes place two evenings a week.
Staff are friendly and go out of their way to accomodate your request. Although off the strip 10 minutes and you are there.
A car is an advantage and there's plenty of parking space. Theres free coffee available in the reception area in the mornings and a 24 hour diner two minutes walk away if you do not want to cook.
We would highly recommend the sell presentation even if you only take advantage of the free show tickets and discount buffets available.
We will definately return to this resort
