The Branches

We rented condo 8, week 52 and also available Dec 31st thru Jan 7th 2010. Celebrated the New Year on the mountain.

The condo was beautiful and we were able to ski down to the lift via the bunny slope.

This is a very small resort (15 units) and therefore there are no on-site activities. But there is a lovely clubhouse with huge screen TV, etc. There are, however, two really great things about this resort. First it's in Banner Elk. You can't beat this place for things to see and do, and great restaurants.

Second, this was the cleanest unit we've even seen. Whoever does their housekeeping can come to my place any day!!! I kept looking for a chip of paint, a spot on the carpet-- anything. Nope. Perfect.

The resort is a short walk from the ski lift (through a little woodland with kiddy play yard) and the balcony overlooking the slopes has a porch swing--lovely touch! Also a wet bar in the living room, walk-in closets (!!!) and a comfy window seat with pillows, in the bedroom.

Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere; well kept property. Great place to get away from the fast pace of everyday life.
