With the Gulf of Mexico and miles of sandy beach a short distance from your vacation home, a host of water activities is close at hand. On site, you can swim, fish, boat, ride bicycles, or relax in the whirlpool. Pontoon boats are available for guest use on site, with only the cost of gas being charged. This is a small, friendly resort --- and it is actually the ONLY timeshare facility in Bonita Beach. Most units are 1 BR (only a very few 2BR penthouse units). All of the 1 BR units have an attached screened lanai, which is a very nice feature. All units have their own washer and dryer as well. Small but fully equipped and functional kitchen. Gulf beach is literally right across the street; the facility itself is actually situated right on Estero Bay. There are several pontoon boats owned by the resort for the use of owners and guests (free, except for refueling with gas before returning to the dock). There are also bicycles available on site at no charge. Free WiFi throughout the facility.

While this is an "older" resort, it is very well maintained. It's really a bit of a hidden gem, in my opinion. Very difficult to "exchange" into during winter season, since most owners use their fixed "Snowbird" weeks themselves. The rooftop deck, where people gather each evening in good weather, provides a great, unobstructed view of the Gulf sunset. A small, quiet restaurant is next door on one side, with indoor and outdoor seating. On the other side of the facility, there is a small (and seldom used) boat ramp, with parking for just a few vehicles. Pool and hot tub on site.

This is a great little place, plain and simple.

This is an ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL RESORT! THE STAFF IS VERY POLITE, COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY!! A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE!! WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS IS WONDERFUL!! NEWLY RESTORED BUILDING! BEAUTIFUL BEACH! FREE PONTOON BOATS!! RIGHT BETWEEN NAPLES & FORT MYERS BEACH. GREAT POOL AREA AND FISHING. GREAT LOCATION ON THE BAY SIDE OF THE KEY, ACROSS THE ROAD FROM THE GULF PIER! THE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR IS OUTSTANDING!! THE AREA IS VERY UPSCALE!! THE BEACH IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!! YOU CAN TAKE YOUR OWN TOWELS TO THE POOL IF YOU WANT!! THERE IS A NEW CLEANING CREW AND I THOUGHT THE PLACE WAS VERY CLEAN!!

This is a tired resort, maintenance and housekeeping have not been consistently carried out. There are no amenities in the unit, bring or buy all you need, other than dishwashing liquid and after 5 days we ran out of that. The floors are tile and were filthy, wore white cotton socks and the bottoms were black. No pool towels are supplied and you cannot take bath towels from the unit and are not supposed to take your own towels but rent them for $5.00 (for the week, per towel) or buy them at the desk. Ths office closes at four in the afternoon and there is no one on the premises until the next morning. Would not stay there again. If you should lock yourself out of the unit, there is a $25.00 charge to get the door opened.

Aug. 2006 update: Well I am staying at the resort as I type. Nice to see that they have wireless access now. Since the hurricanes they have fully restored all the facilities and the beach is fabulous as always. Still pretty deserted for Florida standards. Went out on the free pontoon boat yesterday and had a great time. Cost me $4.00 for gas and that was it. Great deal. I'm renting 2 weeks this year since I haven't been able toget into this resort for a few years with a rental. Thanks to the owner of this unit that I am able to rent from her. If you like fishing and don't mind walking across the street to a really nice beach then this is a great economical alternative to Naples & Fort Myers beach. Sept. 2004 I stayed at this resort about 4 years ago and found it to be in a nice location despite not being directly on the beach. It is near busy Ft. Myers Beach but far enough away that the beaches are still pretty secluded. Unfortunately you have to cross a busy intersection to get to the beach which could be problematic with little children. Our unit was updated but apparently a very heavy smoker occupied the unit before us and the smell was horrible. The free pontoon boats was a plus as the area rents them for about $50 a day. There were not too many exchangers there the week I stayed as most were locals from the area. I was renting my unit and was the only rental in the building. The pool area is nice and the fishing pier is fun with the kids. I would go back again if I could get a rental. Haven't had luck this past few years getting an available unit to rent. Nice view of the back bay fron the balcony. Parking is limited. Grounds have barbecues. I live in Miami, FL

Very, very nice! We spent Christmas week and it was great to be able to use the float boats for a morning or afternoon for only the cost of the gas. Great location on the bay side of the key, across the road from the Gulf. Loses one star since there is a restaurant next door, but otherwise you need to drive 3- 5 miles to the mainland or Ft Myers Beach.
