Inverness by the Sea

The most spacious units I have ever traded into, with the exception of the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. Beautiful view of the Gulf from very large balconies. The grounds are small. The pool area is small but well maintained. Restuarants and shopping are too far to walk to. You must have a car to get around. Homes in this historic city are truly lovely. The downtown is in a constant state of renovation, but they are getting there. A great spot to visit, only 45 minutes from the Houston airport.

Bought this week for a steal on eBay from Timeshare Gems and was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The sale went beautifully and I highly recommend Steve Bunch. I had a shock when I called the resort that week when the resort manager told me my week had been spacebanked by the previous owner. They squeezed me in for my week and after much hassle with ICS resort management and Steve it appears that I may have been led astray by the resort- I highly recommend that you confirm all weeks (even deeded weeks like mine was) with the resort before you show up!!

We had just gotten hit with a special assessment to replace the elevators and walkways so the place was under construction while we were there. The resort is over 20 years old and does show some age but the units are all 2BR and much bigger than I expected. All units overlook the ocean but Seawall Blvd runs right in front of the resort. We still loved the fact that we could look out the two sets of front windows and see dolphins in the am. While the resort does not have beachfront property we had no trouble walking or parking by the public beach located just down the Seawall.

All full size appliances were working and the unit (315) even included apt size W/D in the bath room. One bathroom had shower with tub, and other had stand up shower only. Both were good sized and could hold multiple people with no problem.

Both BRs were nice with queen beds in both and an extra TV in the front BR. Lots of closet space with minimal drawers. Outdoor pool and jacuzzi were very clean and had plenty of chairs and tables.Also on site was a playground area for small kids and a full-size tennis court.

The manager, Angela, has a get-together on Sun am with free donuts (not mandatory)at which she talked about sites to see, resaurants, and the planned site activities (no sale pitch was given). Tues afternoon is craft day, Wed is resort cookout, Thursday is movie day-we thought this was a nice touch.

Mario's flying pizza was exceptional for Italian. Moody gardens is a great deal if you go after 6 pm for half-price.

Looking forward to the upgrades to make this an even better resort in the future.

PS Schlitterbaun water park is planning on building in Galveston now in addition to their other parks in New Brausfels and South Padre.

Spacious, very clean and comfortable unit. Felt like being home with an ocean views from living room, bedroom and large balcony. Nicely landscaped grounds. Pretty blue pool and comforting jacuzzi.

Sunrises and sunsets from the gulf water were amazing.

Excellent dolphin watching, shelling and seabirds. Sailboats. Quiet end of the Seawall. Pleasant staff to assist my needs.

Refreshing walks to close by restaurants and general shopping.

I enjoyed it very much.
