Description

Located in the popular vacation town of Gatlinburg, Laurel Point offers an ideal Smoky Mountains vacation. Smoky Mountains National Park is just a mile away, while golfing and tennis and racquetball courts are within seven miles of the resort. On site, enjoy the indoor pool, exercise room, whirlpools, and saunas. For winter skiing, the Ober Gatlinburg ski area is just minutes away. You'll find slopes with a top elevation of 3,500 feet and a vertical drop of 800 feet, a sigh-seeing chair lift, an aerial tram, an alpine slide, and an indoor ice-skating rink. Hike along mountain trails, fish, go horseback riding, or just spend a leisurely day exploring the shops and live entertainment in Gatlinburg, outlets in Sevierville or Pigeon Forge's Dollywood Theme Park.

Beautifully decorated two-bedroom units feature a private jacuzzi, full kitchen, Playstation rental, and fireplace. This is a wonderful vacation choice any season of the year.

The nearest airport is Knoxville which is 45 miles and the check-in days for the resort are Friday and Saturday.

Although this is an older resort, the staff works very hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location is ideal if you want to get to the park for hiking and avoid the traffic of Gatlinburg. It was very pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the view from the balcony. The location also allows you to get to downtown Gatlinburg easily and is convenient to use the by-pass to Pigeon Forge. Although there was a lot of road traffic below we could not hear any from inside our unit.

The staff was exceptional at helping us with anything we needed. The indoor pool was nice but it would be nice to have an outdoor one for use as well. Overall our stay was very good, mostly due to the location and the helpful staff.

This resort was the best of both worlds in Gatlinburg - close to all the activity but nestled in the trees and quiet. The indoor pool was really nice since the weather is often too cool to swim outside. Units were well maintained and the fireplace was so cozy. We will go back again.
