Getting Warmer

As with last year, RedWeek’s statistics show that warm weather destinations continue to dominate travel plans for 2023, with Hawaii, Aruba, Florida, California, South Carolina and Mexico coming in at the top. Notably, Hawaii resorts make up more than ⅓ of the list, demonstrating that vacationers are ready to travel further to enjoy sunnier destinations after a few years of staying closer to home due to pandemic-era concerns and restrictions.

Comeback Kids

Another trend is the re-emergence of certain destinations. California’s Palm Desert, for example, is resurging, with two resorts emerging on the 2023 list: Marriott’s Desert Springs Villas II and Marriott’s Desert Spring Villas. Additionally, Harborside Resort at Atlantis in the Bahamas, a resort that was in RedWeek’s Top 5 until 2019, is making a big comeback, moving up from #21 in 2022 to #13 in 2023.

Amazing,…East coast operator…Hard to believe the author of this article has NO SPOT for Marriott's OCEANA PAMS..Make the whole list suspect.

Surprised that Marriott Aruba Surf Club is #1, while Marriott Aruba Ocean Club is behind at #4. The Surf Club is much more crowded than Ocean Club, and has a smaller beach. About 1/3 - 1/2 of the horizontal beach space is blocked by 2 restaurants and a boat dock. My vote is that Marriott Aruba Ocean Club should be higher ranked than the Surf Club.

So Eagle’s Nest on Marco Island or Div beach & Golf in Aruba didn’t make the list?? This is mostly Marriott Resorts. That is very suspicious. Specially, since the Marriott on Marco Island is not as half as nice as Eagles nest on Marco Island.
