Ask them to take their fee out of the rental AFTER it's rented, not before, and see how fast they hang up on you. This is just another upfront fee rental/resale company.
You can do the exact same thing yourself by listing your rental on Redweek, or other listing sites on the internet, and save yourself $400 minus the nominal listing fee.
