I would try to tell my story about Villa Trader, becuase English is not my mother language. I was contacted yesterday by a girl from that company and asked me if I wanted to sell my timeshare property in Westgate Resorts (Westgate Villas). She has all the information about my timeshare and told me that they have a couple from Canada that was interested in it and wanted to pay $26,000. At the beginning, she told me that I don´t have to pay anything... and talk and talk as if she was reading a document. The "Finantial Manager" called me back with the same story and then told me that I have to pay $1,500 for legal papers (!!!!). I asked her how she pretend me to pay so easeily to an organization I don´t know that it could be a fraud. she told me that I have to trust them, because they won´t steal my money.

Today I opened the mai and the only document that I received was an authorization to charge in my credit card for the money.

That is how they operate. They lie to people and tell them there are buyers waiting to pay 100 times more than a timeshare is worth, but all they need is upfront money. Then the buyers and your money disappear. Congrats for resisting the tempation to give your money to these people.

They tell you you they have a buyer waiting, but they send you paperwork for them to list your property on their website and will give you a "free" renewal (how nice of them) if your timeshare did not sell. Why would they want to list your timeshare if they already had a buyer interested? It's because they don't have a buyer.
