I call upfront fee resale companies 'bottom feeder scums' on the food chain and the biggest 'rip-off artists' of the entire timeshare industry. They prey on desperate people needing to sell their timeshare and they will tell YOU ANYTHING to get that upfront fee .... that's all they want.
