Unexchanged expiring inventory is the last thing it wants. That is why you see special last-minute offers. They try to get some use out of the "Burn weeks". That is also why they let you extend your exchange period if you have not been able to make an exchange within two years. RCI usually sends you a reminder when your time is running out and sometimes adds a list of locations that are immediately available to you. (That is how we ended up in Iowa at Lake Panorama one summer. Not something we would have thought to request, but we enjoyed it and the drive was reasonable.) MD
