Timeshare buy owner would not leave us alone, they called everyday until we broke just so they would stop calling. They sweet talked us and it sounded like they knew what the hell they were doing. Ken J was the person that told us that our timeshare was worth 18,900 and they had a buyer and we should have a sale in no time Then in a few days Dawn H called and told us that they can buy our getaways so we needed to give them money so they can buy them up and they will sell to renters at a crazy cost (my husband was involved in that conversation) I saw trouble. And Dawn and her scamming coworkers laughed all the way to the bank. You should see the emails I have gotten from her. We are getting in touch with the Attorney General and put a stop on the credit card. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
Sorry to say most of this happened because you knew what probably would happen and did it so they would stop calling is ridiculous. Most people that come on these forums complaining of scams if using their head would not get themselves into these problems.
I have used Craigslist many times for different items from timeshares to selling my daughters car when we bought her a new car for high school graduation and not had a problem because I read and learn and listen to others before jumping in!
When you use Craigslist that is free or paid out high fee for ad's on some timeshare forum there are creeps out there to scam you.
Listing with Craigslist you don't give out your information like phone or home address on the ad. You have all email go through Craigslist and they forward it to you and you decide who to deal with. If you did see this wasn't a buyer but some company you just don't contact them in any form.
I always list at the bottom of any ad that I don't want my time wasted so don't waste yours trying if your a sales/listing company or out of the country.
This statement stops most scam emails. Even though I never used it people have recommended a throw away cell phone and number for these uses or second email address. This would work until you are sure this person is someone you will work with.Blaming Craigslist or any company because you didn't use your head is ridiculous.
One of the lessions to be learned off these Timeshare Forum sites would be to use common sense,do your home work and be careful. This should be used in everyday life decisions also!
