I was contacted and they said that they could reduce the principal still owed to Wyndham by 20% and get us a new deed for the number of points along with a new membership account. Maintenance fees would go on as now. The fee involved is $349, which isn't much considering the amount of time that they have already put into this deal.

Could it be legit?
