We're non-owners, thinking of buying some points directly from Marriott as new "owners", plus a resale week, and maybe renting a week through redweek when appropriate. The idea would be to have some control and flexibility in where to stay, length of stay, and be cost-effective. Is this workable, and what should we be concerned about?
