Have you stayed at Hono Koa?

Has anyone stayed at Hono Koa in the last year or so? Have the rooms been remodeled and how are the facilities?

Yes, we've stayed at the Hono Koa 5x. The KOA units in the front are huge and are the only ones that are truly waterfront. Since there are only 4 of these units 101, 201, 301, and 401 they aren't easy to get but so worth it if you are able to land one. They have wrap around decks, too! The bldg sticks out so the views from these KOA units are 180 degrees. They aren't super fancy but have granite counters and stainless appliances and 2 big baths. It's a smaller, quieter resort but that's what we liked about it. Close to everything!!

We just returned from Maui a couple of weeks ago. The resort has installed new appliances in the kitchen and a new TV in the living room. Users now have a choice of either wired internet access or WiFi access at no charge. My only complaint is that the king size bed in the master bedroom needs replacing.
