Regarding the class action--I filed my grievance with the Florida Attorney General, but have not been notified of any settlement. Do you know for sure and if so can you expound on the settlement?

A class action lawsuit, unlikely to even exist in this matter at all, is a civil (i.e., non-criminal) legal proceeding which has NOTHING whatsoever to do with ANY investigative or prosecutorial action which might be undertaken by a state Attorney General's office. AG offices do NOT initiate class action lawsuits. Such class action suits are initiated by private (i.e., non-governmental) entities.

A "settlement" in reference to an agreement with an AG office essentially means a negotiated fine or penalty. Payment of such a penalty to the State does NOT necessarily mean (or suggest or imply) that YOU will ever actually see any money returned to you.

I spoke to the lawyer in florida attorney generals office in Dec, it was told to me that they settled the case with resales. If you had filed a case with the AG's office you need to call to see what is going on.

I cannot believe that they are still scamming people they have a case against them with the florida AG, what you bneed to do is file a clain with the Florida Attorney Generals office. That is the only way you will get anything done and also if you paid by CC give them a call and disbute the charges.

I almost was taken in by Resales Buy Owner, but after giving them my credit card info (and then checking on them, the wrong sequence) I called my credit card company and they reversed the charges. Now a company called L.H.Q. Enterprises (Steven Wright, Senior Collections Specialist) is trying to collect the money from me that I originally gave them.

If anyone is interested, they are now at a new address. The address is Resales Buy Owner, 420 N Halifax Ave Ste 5, Daytona Beach, FL 32118-4071.

When did this all happen? According to the Florida Attorney Gerneral office resales went out of business and no one is getting their money back. I am giving this info to the lawyer. If you can sen this info to the florida Attorney Generals office and file a claim against them and when they call again they them what your doing.

My experience has been that anyone that wants money up front to sell your timeshare is about to burn you. I had two episodes, and got my money back from one of them... Yes, I'm an idealistic idiot, and I should have learned my lesson. Don't do it. Legitimate realestage brokers take their money at time of sale, not before.

I got a credit back on my credit card from a company called ResortVP last October. They just sent me a letter saying that I still owe them that money! They said everything they did was legal and I am obligated to pay them under contractual obligations. They threatened me with a lawsuit and I would be liable for court costs and their legal costs plus damages and interest on my payment. Can they get away with this? Should I ignore it?

Tell them to kiss your grits. If they persist go to the www.ltrba.com website and file complaints with the Florida Attorney General.
