Escapes! to Stonebridge Village

golf at Stonebridge

Aug 30, 2007

Last September 2006 we stayed for our week at Stonebridge and after arriving found out we could not play golf as tournaments were planned all week. Also the dining room and pool were closed. We bought at Stonebridge because of the golf and just found out last year that the golf club and Timeshare unit were seperate. We were not told that when we purchased our unit. Also in January we phoned Interval International and paid our year's dues and just now found out Escapes had denied us membership because we had to purchase points?? Interval charged us for the year and I have the membership card and infor to prove. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in Stonebridge and Escapes.

Really, really, really old thread, but, just for the heck of it, only the original "Coopershares", the 600# units, come with year-round golf rights, similar but somewhat different than "regular" SBV property owners. Owners of any of the 600# units can purchase an annual golf membership at LedgeStone Country Club, or pay per round at members' rate. Locals who do not live inside SBV, like those who live on Table Rock Lake, get golf membership by owning a 600# unit.

About 18% of the annual maintenance fee, now around $800, goes to the SBV POA (as opposed to the StoneBridge Condominiums COA). That is to support use of the SBV amenities, including LedgeStone Golf Course.

The other timeshare owners, in the 700# units, only have golf privilege in their owned week.

With the dissolving of Coopershares, and Escapes, the resort is now known as StoneBridge Village Condominiums.
