Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

Renting a TS for the first time.

Feb 06, 2008

I was thinking of renting a time share at an all inclusive resort in Cancun. I noticed several for rent on this site at a resort where my wife and I have been before for quite a bit less than the "normal" cost when we go through a travel agent. ( I mean hundreds less!) Generally how reliable are these type of things and what are the chances of us getting ripped off? We have never done anything with a time share before so are apprehensive about spending the money. Thanks, Don

I would definitely ask the timeshare owner if the all inclusive fee is included in the rental fee or if is paid separate from the rental fee at check-in.

Generally speaking, the all inclusive is not included in the rental because that fee is charged by the resort upon check in.
