Redweek suggestions-reviews

Sep 06, 2013

A lot of the reviews on Redweek are fairly old. I looked at a resort that had 23 reviews but the last one was from 2011. I wish Redweek would offer a promotion to members where you get something for writing a review for a resort that hasn't had a review in the last 6-12 months or more. Your stay would have had to have been within the last 12 months or less. Either extend Redweek membership by 2 months for each qualifying review, or give a $2 Redweek credit per review, or give away a predetermined number of memberships and everyone who writes a review is eligible for a random drawing to determine the winners. I know there are other sources for reviews but if someone comes to the site specifically to rent it helps to have feedback that is fairly up to date without having to search multiple sites.

Have you sent your suggestion to contact Redweek.com at the bottom of this page?

No. I have in the past. Posting here is like thinking out loud and hoping that it makes its way to the right ear. Sometimes sending suggestions through the proper channels feels like sending it down a big dark pit.

The thing is .... I have no idea how many Redweek employees read the forums. I do know they have one employee that monitors the forums but that's all. It would be best if you emailed them directly (scroll to bottom of this page).

I would like to know exactly how the rental escrow service works. If I rent my timeshare, does the money go to the escrow service (should I choose to use it), deposit first - when do I receive that - and what about balance? Can I ask for full payment up front? Does escrow service hold money then till vacation is taken? Same questions more or less should I rent from Redweek posted timeshare. How safe is this escrow service? I'm just not sure about all this.

Thank you, Bill
