ask-redweek-rci-buys-dae-timeshare-exchange
I have been with DAE for years but since RCI took over the website has changed drastically for the worse and no longer showers reviews. All very disappointing. I have 2 weeks with them, and will not place any more after I have used these. Would rather they sat empty!

Ever since RCI took over DAE the customer service has gone way way down. I purposely avoided RCI and have been depositing with DAE for years and they would always go above and beyond to fulfill a request. Since RCI has been involved all they want to do upgrade to "Gold Status" for better exchange options, which naturally costs more. In the past two years I have not had an exchange request fulfilled. So disappointed with no real options out there.

The response above is simply wrong. The MINIMUM EXCHANGE FEE with RCI is $239…..that’s if you want to book a snow ski resort in August or a beach resort in N.J . In February. Most always the exchange fee is $800, $1000 or even $1,500 or more for a week. Here is the real kicker. If you call the resorts directly and simply ask, if there is a discounted rate available….you can usually get the exact same resort and the exact same room for less than the amount that RCI charges as their exchange fee. So in reality you get ALMOST NO VALUE WHATSOEVER FOR YOUR RCI EXCHANGE. This, despite having paid perhaps tens of thousands for your timeshare scam and an annual maintenence fee of $1000 or more. You get zero value when you book through RCI and factor in the exchange fee which is rarely if ever $239 and provides no real value in return for your weeks.
