what does final verification mean

What does it mean to when I have a message saying awaiting final verification? How long does it take to get that? I am a renter. Thanks.

Kevin C: Since you are renting a full-service posting, we contact the owner to get their approval for the rental and to sign the rental agreement. We ask the owner to respond to our request within 48 hours.
