If Owner only accepts Venmo and Paypal, is there any payment risk?

I'm fairly new to booking on this site. What kind of vetting process happens for Owners placing their timeshare up for rental? Can I be assured all is safe with a booking (even if its outside Redweek's payment processing function?)?

If you book a rental posting with a Verified and Protected flag, your payment will be made to RedWeek by credit card. We do not disburse the money to the owner until two business days after you check in to the resort.

I’m inquiring on a booking and owner wants me to send PayPal payment but it looks like he’s verified

The verified owner should know the rules of Redweek and know that a verified listing means they get paid from Redweek 2 days after you check in. That protects you from scammers who claim to own and take your money. I would tell the owner/renter you will rent it but pay Redweek per the rules.
