If I buy a Marriott Aruba Surf Club...

If I buy a Marriott Aruba Surf Club timeshare on Redweek, am I automatically a Marriott Vacation Club member? Does the timeshare have a MVC points value? Finally, can it only be used at Marriott Surf Club or can use use it as points elsewhere?
