Wondering if anyone has a point of view, experience and ideally hard facts/#s to support idea of if/when to split a full 7 day timeshare listing into say one 3-day and one 4-day period with the intent of making more money in total. Not all travelers want/need a full 7 day. Our timeshare at Newport Coast Villas (gold season) doesn't rent well, typically because I'm only able to get a week in April or May. Marriott will now enable me to break that into 2 shorter sessions. Has anybody looked into this, done it and was it successful (ie, you're confident you made more than you would have if you rented a single 7-day session.
