Per the owner:
The building itself is very secure. Keys are required to enter the building to prevent unauthorized entry. In addition to the accommodations, the staff runs a number of events or activities for the guests including history walks in the French Quarter, celebratory happy hours, etc. Close by are also a number of local establishments as well as a demonstration cooking store allowing guests to experience creole cuisine and learn how to make some basic dishes. Great location in that it is close to the entertainment on Bourbon Street, but far enough away to also have some 'relaxing' time.
