    Pinetop, Arizona

WorldMark Pinetop lies in the rugged reaches of the White Mountains, among spectacular views and swaths of towering Ponderosa Pines. Take some time this vacation to truly relax in this forested haven - enjoy a dip in the outdoor swimming or one of two hot tubs. A separate children's pool is also available. You'll have plenty of opportunities to stay active - guests have access to a fitness center, horseshoe bit, playground, basketball court and tennis courts. Daily activities are also offered.

Units ranging in size from studios to three-bedrooms are offered at WorldMark Pinetop. Wood and stone trim and detailing reflects the alpine spirit of Pinetop, while the in-room amenities are anything but rustic. Enjoy a cable TV and DVD player, stereo system, gas fireplace, balcony or terrace, gas barbecue, murphy bed, full kitchens in one bedroom-room villas and up and in-room washer and dryer.

Many of Pinetop's attractions are rooted in history and nature. Visit Fort Apache, one of America's oldest army outposts dating back to 1870. Sunrise Park Resort provides excellent skiing during the winter months, offering 65 runs, cross- country trails and even a dedicated children's "ski- wee" area. Casa Malpais National Historic Landmark marks the home of the Western Pueblo who flourished in the location for 1,100 - an excellent outing for those interested in the history of the Pinetop area.

Worldmark's Pinetop resort is one of our favorite drive-to vacations spots. From Phoenix or Tucson, expect a 3.5 hour drive. There are several grocery stores nearby (Eddie's Country Store, Safeway and even a Walmart) so we do all our shopping when we get into town. The units are very well maintained and always seem brand new. The kitchen supplies are better than most timeshare units we've stayed in. On our latest vacation, we took a quick trip to nearby Fort Apache and the Kinishba (spelling?) Ruins. In addition to Charlie Clark's steakhouse, the other great place is called the Christmas Tree Restaurant which recently moved off of the main street (ask the front desk for directions). Right outside the condo's you'll find several easy to moderate hiking trails, and within a short drive you'll find lakes, snow skiing in winter, golf and even a small bowling alley. We spend every Christmas in Pinetop, and typically try to get up there for a week in summer to escape the Phoenix heat.

give it 4-stars as the 2nd bedroom has 2 twin beds and is very small, has no TV in the room. Excellent location and well maintained. The best restaurant in town is Charlie Clarks Steak House, had the best prime rib we had ever tasted. A trip to Fort Apache is well worth it and there is a casino (Hon-Dah Apache) if you like to gamble. 6 blackjack tables, other are primarily slots. This resort is great if you fish, hike or gamble. There are limited sightseeing opportunities.

      Awesome resort!

My wife and I spent a week here. Never ran out of things to do. Went hiking almost everyday.

If you love the outdoors, and love someone that hates camping, you'll be happy going here.

We spent a week at Pinetop and loved the beauty of this place. I was able fish on some of the best streams in the world. We spent most of our days hiking through the pristine forests. I highly recommend staying here and relaxing.
