I love staying at this resort so many things to do at the resort and surrounding area. Relaxing in the lazy river, lounge at the Lagoon Pool or be adventurous and go down the waterslides. Short walk to Beach or take the free shuttle. Beach lounge with restrooms and hangout place right off the beach for resort stayer to enjoy. Myrtle beach is a great place to vacation. Nothing boring about this place!!!!

This beautiful, spacious, and convenient resort is our favorite! We love sharing South Beach with our friends and family.

We have stayed in many different villas and have enjoyed them all - from the tasteful decor and super-comfy bedding of the units, to the wonderful surroundings and the friendly helpful staff.

We have so enjoyed our resort timeshare - for 25 years! I have to admit that fully-equipped resort condos have spoiled us from doing much tent camping anymore! South Beach Resort has so many great, free amenities as well as a fully-equipped kitchen that we are able to spend our money on dinner meals out instead of at the touristy attractions in town. Lounging by the Lazy River and water slides makes it a true vacation! And I love the beachside pool and beachhouse! And the beach!

This resort is the perfect fit for our young family. We stumbled into staying here by renting, and now I will consider buying a week to use every summer! This place is a wonderful change from the usual high rise on the beach, with tight quarters, no extra elbow room, run down yucky furniture, and open balcony's that are dangerous to small children. This place has 16 acres of beautifully landscaped property, plenty of parking for all, it is gated and at the very end of the strip, and has multiple pools, hot tubs, and the condos are so beautifully furnished. The furniture all seems new, everything works and is high quality. The villas have two bedrooms and a screened in balcony/porch. All levels are screened in which is nice for children. The resort is across the street from the beach but all we had to do to get to the beach was walk out our villa door, sit on a bench, and a van picked us up to drive us literally across the street. After the first day we just walked for two minutes thru the walking path to their gated mini resort on the beach, across the street. Your room key works the gate. At the beach side of the resort there is also another pool and a wooden bridge that steps onto the beach. I was beside myself at the overall accomodations and value here. I will likely be looking for a summer week here for my family. Highly recommend. The one thing I would recommend is a basketball court to go along with their sand volleyball court. After all, they are obviously going after the "family" vacation. They have the space, why not keep adding things like this.

We toured this resort in August before it was completed. It was an exceptional tour. What soured the whole thing was the place that we were put up in. We stayed at Myrtlewood.....where we were not treated well at all. They knew in advance that we would have 6 adults with us......we paid extra to have an extra bedroom.....however we were only given 4 towels. When I called for more, we were told that what was there was there......extras were not usually distributed. We had to go to Walmart and buy toilet paper and dishsoap. My son-in-law raised the hood of his van to check his oil, (we traveled from Indiana) and one of the upstairs tenants threatened to call the police because of suspicious activity. We knew we would have to pay tax on our package at check in, however, they charged us the tax on VALUE of the week, not what we actually paid for it! I thought tax was paid on dollars spent....not worth!! Our patio screen door was torn and bugs galore could come in. We also had small children with us that wanted to play on the patio. The mattress of our KING sized bed was two twin mattresses on a king sized frame!! If you were a middle-of-the bed sleeper, you slept in a crack!! This is the reason we did NOT purchase a week at South Beach resort. We bought the package through them to tour THEIR resort. They are the ones who chose where we would stay. I feel they should have made some kind of compensation for the things that happened to us during our stay.(not sure what.........offered to move us or something!) This however, was not the case. I love Myrtle Beach but will probably NOT stay at Myrtlewood or deal with South Beach Resort again.
