Marriott's Monarch at Sea Pines

We have stayed here for the past 10 years and love it. The beach is wonderful and it is nice being in a quiet section of Sea Pines yet within easy walking or biking distance of all the action. Although this is an older resort, the recent refurbishments make it feel like new. Typical Marriott quality and service. We actually enjoy this resort more than the Grand Ocean, Barony Beach Club, Heritage and Surfwatch, where we also stay regularly.

I have been coming to oceanfront Monarch and Sea Pines my entire life and have spent two decades bringing my children here every summer. We love it! This is an excellent resort. Love the adjacent beach club because we can enjoy oceanfront restaurants and catch the Sea Pines trolley to go anywhere in Sea Pines like South Beach or Harbor Town and avoid looking for parking. The main Sea Pines Golf Club is directly across the street. This is the most convenient and self contained oceanfront resort in exclusive Sea Pines.

We own many timeshares, but the Marriott Monarch is our favorite. It is the only one that is a direct walk off right to the beautiful flat beach where you can just see for miles. Daily parking is free for our guests, and there are bicycles for rent right on the property. We love this Marriott property because of the quality beds and the cleanliness of their units from the pure white linens to the new furnishing ( just remodeled in January 2026)

Marriott's Monarch is perfectly situated on Hilton Head. Located right on the beach in Sea Pines Plantation with beautifully landscaped grounds, pools and amenities. Top rated ocean front dining available at the Sea Pines Beach Club adjacent to the entrance of Monarch.

We have loved staying here. There is a really nice restaurant overlooking the beach very nearby; it's very beautiful there with fun things to do nearby. The service was excellent, we enjoyed the rooms and had a wonderful time.

I love this place. Monarch is clean and relatively quiet. Hilton Head is a great beach place and great for golf and dining choices for everybody's pleasure.

Our villa is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a well-equipped kitchen and a balcony that makes morning coffee a pleasure. The pools, hot tubs, and easy beach access are perfect for guests of all ages, and the grounds are consistently pristine. Add in friendly, professional staff and a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere, and it’s easy to see why we keep coming back. A truly five-star resort experience on Hilton Head Island.
