Rams Horn Village is like a "home away from home", with all the amenities necessary to make guests feel like they're in their own home. Just down the road from access to Rocky Mountain National Park, beautiful views of Longs Peak make this a great location for a vacation.

A wonderful Colorado mountain getaway just at the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. Fall is so beautiful in Estes Park, with great mountain views, hiking trails, fantastic restaurants and many things to see and do. Rams Horn Village is like having your very own log cabin in a very special place!

Nice place to stay. We were in #15 which is right next to the busy highway - do not stay in #15 because of noise! The property is very nice. The staff is fantastic. Our unit, although noisy, was very nice. There is a heated outdoor pool in addition to a clubhouse. The location is fantastic for access to Rocky Mt. National. It is not a safe walk to downtown (major highway/traffic), but you can easily drive and park downtown. Rams Horn is a VERY nice place to stay. We will be back.

GORGEOUS! The staff is friendly and are willing to go out of their way to help in any way possible. A wine and cheese social and a waffle breakfast are just two of the activities provided. We stayed in a 2 bdrm King size beds in each with their own full bath. GREAT for two couples) It's truly at the base of the Rocky Mountain Park - a must see! The hot tub behind the "cabin" was wonderful. I missed not having laundry in the unit but the club house offers free use of the machines. The town of Estes is awesome a glass blower, food, taffy, even the home of the Stanley Hotel (The Shining was filmed there)! We plan to return!

This is my home resort: but, I think that my prejudice doesn't effect my rating at a 5 star too badly.

The units have 2 floor plans: the peak and the divide. Both are 2 BR and both have advantages and disadvantages. We own a divide and prefer it, it is slightly larger than the peak. However, the peak has a slightly more open floor plan so that if you are with a group of 4-6, this floor plan has a plus: the kitchen dining room living room are essentially one large room. Therefore, eating and talking are easier.

As the previous poster indicated, the peak only has a shower in the upstairs bedroom. Also a disadvantage, in my mind, is the lack of a balcony on the 2nd floor master bedroom. I enjoy sitting on the balcony looking out at the mountains or other scenery.

Both units are well stocked and if you do not find something you need, the front desk will do their best to round it up.

The staff is one of the best things about Ram's Horn. They really want you to feel "at home" in your mountain cabin. They will help with dinner suggestions, golf times, and hiking trails. Because we are a small association, they know which people are the "regulars" and which people have rented or exchanged. They adjust their discussions with you accordingly.

The check in building has a lending library of video tapes and books. There are also lending sleds if you are there in the winter. The front desk will give you absolutely no pressure to do a "timeshare presentation." If you want that you need to meet with another staff in the clubhouse.

There are 3 hottubs on-site and a small pool, only open in the summer. Most people do not wish to spend their time in the pool while in the Rockies, so even in summer, it is rarely crowded. Frequently, the hottubs are a private getaway, if you want an evening soak.

A very small resort complex, yet so peaceful and beautiful. I've rated this resort a 4 star because it is lacking in amenities. However, where it lacks, it more than makes up for it with the beautiful modern cabins and scenery. We've stayed in the stand alone Peak Units. One little downfall with this cabin is it has one full and one three quarter baths. The Divide Units (which are duplexes) have two full baths. We toured this particular unit while we were there and it is much nicer and roomier than the Peak Units. As of now, these cabins do not have their own washer/dryer. The resort allows you to have free usage of the washer/dryer onsite. If you want nature and wildlife, Rams Horn Resort is what you are looking for.
