The Native Sun is a cute, smaller resort directly on the Fort Lauderdale beach where all rooms have ocean views. The pickleball court was well used by our kids and the ability to walk directly from the resort room onto the beach simplified everything for us. The hot tub at night was a nice treat. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

We liked the resort for the nice ocean view from our fourth floor unit, the cleanliness and friendly staff, the nice beach and the heated fair-size pool. The unit was quite adequate for us two people, though the bedroom was cramped. There are some great restaurants within a few miles. If you are looking for lots of activity at the resort, this one is not for you. But it is a quiet, nicely landscaped place.

Native Sun is a small Gold Crown beach front resort. The check-in, grounds and location are excellent. The rooms are small and the ammenities of the unit are minimal. There are no resort sponsored activities. Laundry facilities are coin operated. Local calls are $0.30. The resort is not bad, but I've stayed at many resorts not listed as GC that offered much more than 'just an ocean front location'. I'd rate it a higher if all you want to do is hang out on the beach.
