My family has stayed here on 3 occations during different seasons. We love
the smaller feel of the complex as apposed to how huge most of Killington
is. Close to lifts and shuttle available to take you to the mountain, main
lodge, or other parts of the resort. Trail Creek has its own indoor pool but
it is VERY small and get crowed quickly. Hot tub/whirlpool is only large
enough for 6 adults to be comfortable. Workout space is in the same room
so it is really cramped!
Units are big. We had a 1 bed room with large loft, and a 2 bedroom with
loft and both also had sofa beds. Nice ski storage indooors, fireplace, well
appointed kitchen were pluses, but it is very dated and in need of
remodeling!! Not a luxery resort at all. Beds were hard, carpet thin, and
sofa from the 80's along with the inferior pool center onsite is why I give it
the 3 star rating.
You can use the indoor recreation center at the main lodge but in the cold,
do you really want to wait for a shuttle after you have worked out or swam?
Overall, it is quiter than the other sections, good location, and big units.
Down side is what I previously mentioned. We would book again if there
was nothing else available because Killington is such a wonderful ski
mountain with tons of trails and some of the best snow making ever, so you
can ski for a longer season.
