never stay over spring break! we were there in March of 2007 and the springbreakers kept us up all night as the hot tub was just below the master bedroom. the pool hours were not enforced by management. the resort was clean but in need of repairs.

We vacationed for a week in October at the Galleon Bay Club. We enjoyed fishing from the pier and the short walk to the beach. It was a perfect choice for us very relaxing, beautiful sunsets and peaceful.

Had a very nice stay at this bay resort. The walk to the beach was really short. Staff very friendly and informative about island activities. We loved fishing from the pier and will go back again to Galleon Bay in July to celebrate Independence Day.

HAD A BEAUTIFUL VIEW FROM BOTH THE LIVING ROOM AND THE MASTER BEDROOM. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND EVERYTHING WAS IN WORKING ORDER. IT WAS NICE AND QUIET AWAY FROM, YET NOT TO FAR AWAY FROM, THE NIGHTLIFE. HAD A WONDERFUL AND FUN FILLED STAY

The resort was filthy and poorly maintained. There were thunderstorms while we were there and rain came flooding under the door into the carpet. We were on the 2nd floor. (The door didn't fit correctly.) The couch smelled of armpits. The dryer had to be replaced. This room had obiviously been used during a college spring break rampage and well not cleaned. We won't go back.

South Padre is a beautiful place. We were lucky in that we didn't have to spend all of our time in the room. The beach is white with fine sand, there are many little shops and a movie theater to entertain.
