We stayed here for a week in November 2006
and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in
a one bedroom unit in the cottages (not in the
main house) which was fine with us. The
bedroom was a bit tight, but we had enough
space for the two of us. My mother-in-law
slept in the livingroom on the sleeper sofa
which she said was comfy.
Inside the main house is the indoor pool, a
common sitting area and billard room. While
there are no restaurant facilities on the
premises, there is an outstanding pub less
than 100yds away, which provided great food
and a decent value.
We found Thirsk to be an ideal location for
traveling around the area and enjoyed our
day trips throughout the countryside.
I would not hesitate to stay here again!
