Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf & Spa Resort

I see that this is an old question, but I'm responding for whatever it is worth. I have been a long time owner at this resort. I have gone for years and paid the all-inclusive when it was $85 per person, but it has zoomed to $215 per person lately.

TOTALLY NOT worth it IMHO. All inclusive is a rip off unless you are an alcoholic. You won't get top shelf booze - only well booze. If you want premium you have to pay more to go VIP - seriously - if you pay that much you aren't a VIP??? In fact, the blended drinks (Miami Vice, frozen margaritas, etc) don't have much/any booze in them so they can serve to minors. If you order one, order a shot or two of booze on the side. The food has fallen off. It used to be good - but not anymore since Hyatt took over. My friend ordered tuna for her dinner entree and they cut it n half horizontally into a thin "chop"! The whole point is to sear it on top and get rare in the middle. When you cut it that way, it's just overcooked. WTH - they get the tuna right out there in the ocean so it should be fresh and not expensive. We also ordered a "chocolate torte" dessert to split and when it came, it was a store bought mini brownie on a huge plate. They didn't even give us 2 of them. We couldn't believe it. $1500 EACH for food and drink - and it's served in the cheapest manner possible!!!! Nothing elegant or elevated about it.

The last few times I went, I didn't pay all inclusive. I don't drink much so it's not worth it. There's no "food only" package. Sooo... we had a kitchen room and went to the Fresko in San Jose del Cabo and bought things to make breakfast and lunches, and we got snacks and ingredients for cocktails. We took "to go" tumblers and made our drinks in the room and then took them to the pool. BTW Fresko has a HUGE bakery department so that was fun. We made breakfast each day in the room. We tipped the pool server to bring us buckets with ice and water. For the price of one day of all-inclusive for one person we covered a week's worth of breakfast, some lunches and drinks. That's including the round trip cost of Uber to the store.

If I'm paying $1500 for a week's worth of all-inclusive ($3000 minimum if you are aren't traveling alone), I want elevated food and premium booze, not cost cutting measures that don't return the value of the cost. I don't mind paying premium to get premium service, food, booze, etc, on vacation, but this is simply not worth it.
