Belaire Vacation Club/Puerto Vallarta

Apr 08, 2013

Belaire changed names to; Hotel U and recently to Signature Club. Mr. Michael Logan said he is the contact person after Mr. Alen Dale's contract expired and Alex Sentori was fired. Mr. Logan claims Mr. Sentori stole information on owners for the pre constuction contracts and not to respond to his calls. Mr. Logan claims the new zoneing codes for construction in Puerto Vallarta pervent the construction of more than two levels. This means the persons who purchased on the upper levels will not have a larger place as promissed. Mr. Logan also blaims problems with the building a casino for not honoring the buy-backs. Larken & Larken Latin American Strategic fraud law form representatives are contacting us owner with promisses to recoup our loses. They have the preconstuction names list and the prices paid. This firm does not seem to have an Internet page. They are requesting copies of the contract and payment receipts for their lawyer, Danny Martines, so he can bring independent actyion before the Mexican Distrito Federal judge for timeshare fraud and false promises. They are not asking for upfront money, but this sounds like another wasted action. Has anyone else been contacted? Mr. Logan claims the owners of Hotel U/ Signature Club will make some decisions in late may after going to court with the Mexican government.

Sounds like a scam to me. They claim there are no upfront fees but they wait a while until they set the hook and then when you think you are about to get money they come up with a " fee " that has to be paid before you can get your money. It's an old scam with a new twist.

Some preconstruction contract buyers did get payment according to Hotel U. The funds I putup to change over from the Belaire contract (title fee and good will money) were said to be in an escrow in Las Vagas when Alen Dale was working the actions. I feel after more than two years the funds and purchase price are a lost cause. Does anyone have any new news? I last contacted Mr. Logan in March 2013.

Unfortunately, my Dad fell to the same scam and sent money two years ago as well. And now he's gone and my Mom was contacted by Larken & Larken as well.

I told her it's all a scam and to ignore their requests. They have called and emailed her.

I hate the Belaire and all the stress and loss of money they caused my retired parents. I hope there's a special place in hell for these people.

I have yet found anyone that received any money back on the"buy back" agreement. Terry G, is the escalator still sitting in the dirt as it was in February? I spoke to Michael Logan and he was pitching something in Punta Mita. The "two story limitation" is crazy and I would believe it when I see the ruling. The taller the better. Sounds like another excuse. Read the other Red Week site under belaire golf resort and spa. It has even more discussion and relates my visit with Michael Logan.

We also have been contacted by Larken and Larken, first we had to send $ 1695.-- filing fee, well the papers had a judicial stamp on there and looked all very official, so we fell for it, I had asked for a reference which I got and that person said he received his money, so ok. They kept saying you will have your money by Friday, mr Martinez will call you, sure enough he called to let me know there was tax on it $ 4900.-- worth, but the good news is that we would get $ 6200.-- back because we are seniors. Well that is were our red flag really started to wave, he would not provide any credential or proof, under the disguise that the " cartel" would come after them, so it is all hush hush. I now feel even stupid to have send them the $1695. But unless other people can convince me otherwise, I suppose I should just forget about it which really hurts as I am a senior on limited income. I even suggested he pay the $ 4900 and I would let him have the $ 6200,-- he just got mad at me and said if I wanted to forgo my money he didn't care! A really caring person!

My name is Geoff. I bought into Belaire about five years ago for a total of 43k. i have had the run arounds that many of the people writing on this blog. And yet I didn't think I was stupid. Apparently I was wrong. I was contacted by the law firms in Vegas about two years ago and gave them nothing. The other day by Larken and Larken. We are not going to give them a red cent. It seems that if there is actually some recourse that Profeco might be the way to go. Has anyone gotten any positive results from dealing with Larken? Has anyone gotten any positive results from Profeco? you can email me at preshusgeoffie@mac.com

Yes, I was contacted two days ago by someone from Larken. Under advice from an attorney friend just this morning I got on the internet and found this site.Really shocking that there are so many of us good people that got taken so badly! I'm now not going to send Larken those papers. We'll see what happens in late May. I expect nothing unfortunately. Geoff

I sent documents to Profeco over a year and a half ago and got no responce. They wanted copies of everything including our passports and licenses? A girl named Norah I spoke to on the phone back then and she sounded like she could get some money back and I guess the mafia or someone got to the agency because we haven't got a penny. We included a copy of the document saying that before 2 years we could get the current value x 75% what a lie! Our government can't help us there must be millions of American dollars involved with this scam and what about Mr Highland in Las Vegas that is an American connection to this scam!!!!!!!!!!

I RECEIVED NUMEROUS CALLS FROM A VOLUNTEER WORKING WITH LARKEN AND LARKEN, PROMISING THAT I WOULD RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK FROM THE BEL AIRE SCAM. I WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS OF FILLING OUT FORMS AND SENDING A COPY OF MY DRIVERS LICENSE. I TOLD HIM THAT I WASN'T PAYING ANY UPFRONT MONEY TO GET THE FUNDS. HE TOLD ME THAT IT WASN'T REQUIRED, SO I WENT ALONG WITH THE PROCESS. A FEW DAYS LATER A DANNY MARTINEZ CONTACTED ME AND TOLD ME THAT I WAS APPROVED AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAYA FILING FEE OF $1695. I TOLD HIM THAT I WANTED TO SEE HIS CREDENTIALS AND DRIVERS LICENSE FIRST. HE DENIED THE REQUEST AND SENT ME A REFERRAL NAME IN CALIFORNIA. I DIDN'T RESPOND AND HE LEFT ME A SCATHING REPLY ON VOICEMAIL, THAT IF I DIDN'T SEND THE FUNDS, HE WOULD REPORT ME TO I.R.S. BECAUSE I WAS ENTITLED TO THE MONEY AND WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TAXES. GIVE ME A BREAK. THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO CONCIENCE AND WOULD HURT ANYONE FOR A BUCK.. STAY AWAY.

Persons have obtained the listing of pre construstruction contract buyers for Belaire/ Hotel U and are conducting a scan under the name of Larken & Larken which does not exist in Mexico. This is much like the scam to get money for older persons that says they have won the lotery or enharited money. They may of gotten our names from Alix Sentory who was the Italian sales person/ lawyer working for Belaire who was fired. Please do not believe anything they say and do not send them any money or personal information. Tell them to send you the information in the mail or to stop calling. Our only hope is to maybe use some timeshare week at the resort if it ever gets finished.

I, too, was approaached by Christopher Lido on behalf of Larken & Larken. I believe it is a fraudulent company trying to bilk us out of more money. I contacted Profeco, who do not believe Larken & Larken are legitimate. it was nice to think we might get our money back but not worth losing $1695 to try. Profeco said that under Mexican law, people have 1 year to pursue a fraudulent company. we bought in 2009 and nothing has been done at the site! It looks the same as we saw it in 2009! Stay away! They will just take more money. Hotel U is no better!

I was curious to know if you had any luck with Visa? I fought with them for 1 1/2 years trying to dispute the charge. They finally put it back onto my card and I had to pay the bill. It is disgusting that you can't even fight these scammers from the US.

Belaire- U Resort are the same, just as Antonio Copela (which I'm 100% sure is not his real name, he doesn't even have a legal US passport) and Allan Dale are the same person. After years of doing research I'm pretty positive his real name is John Aurelio Cuda, you can google it see what kind of person mr. cuda is, that is why he is hiding in mexico, and that is why he does not have a legal US passport.

There have never been buyers from monterrey or people wanting to build a casino, they tried to but once they found out who these people were, they backed out.

No lawyers, persons who you have spoken with has ever been fired, they are all the same people over and over again, in the sales floor, in the phone, it all comes back to this guy who calls himself Antonio Copela and his son Jonathan James Tomasello(that is his real name)

All they did was create a new corporation owned by "Antonio Copela's" wife and daughter (Linda Tomasello and Brianna Tomasello) and took advantage of this simulating a transaction, in reality this guy is still running the business backstage.

They spend thousands of dollars of your money every month paying the rent of their luxurious condo's and live the great life in mexico, threatening every person that works or has ever worked for them.

I will attempt to get more information for you, I know by posting this my life could be in danger, but I'm just sick of these people doing whatever they want either to nice honest american and mexican people.

I looked into the name (John Aurelio Cuda) that you referenced. If that really is Antonio Copela he is nothing but the scum of the earth feeding off of decent people. But, of course, we already knew that. I pray that justice will be served to all of them, swiftly and harshly!
