The resort provides the tropical ambiance of Hawaii with breathtaking sunsets, exquisite ocean and mountain views, and lush Hawaiian gardens.
When you vacation here it's truly paradise with all the comforts of home. The resort offers 1, 2, and 3-bedroom villas that are fully furnished and equipped with kitchen amenities. Speaking of amenities, you will have access to all resort facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts, a hot tub, a restaurant (temporarily closed), and a secluded white sand beach.
When you are ready to sightsee, the resort’s concierge can assist you in planning hiking, horseback riding, surfing, kayaking, or golf outings. The resort is also located near some of the island’s best shopping, dining, and Hawaiian activities.

Hanalei Bay Resort is now managed by Trading Places and is now owned by timeshare owners and also has units that are privately owned. The lawsuit against Celebrity Resorts has settled and this lovely resort is now back on track with solid management, a much happier staff and owners that look forward to improvements at their favorite annual get-a-way. Celebrity Resorts is in bankruptcy, but still holds the leash regarding the sale of the resort's restaurant and bar. This is still one of THE BEST resorts on "Heavenly Bay" to stay at if you're looking to decompress.

From the Hanalei Bay Resort owners web site: "You'll be happy to know that we have been told that "The Happy Talk Lounge" will open in a few days thanks to the efforts of our Assistance Manager Scott Pacer."
Also, per an article in the Pacific Business News (Honolulu): "The resort’s next-door neighbor is the former Princeville Resort, which will reopen Oct. 1 as a top-of-the-line St. Regis and is expected to draw thousands of affluent vacationers to the golf resort on Kauai’s north shore."

FYI, the resort restaurant and bar are still closed (as of Nov. 2008). Princeville Hotel is also closed. So plan ahead for meals. The Makai golf course has 9 holes open (18 are closed). Prince course is available.

we go EOY just got back on the 26th of jan. 07 We have a timeshare. wish we could go every year. Best place for us to stay and enjoy.

We own two weeks-wish it was 52! We have gone
every year for the last seven years, and plan to
continue. It is a paradise!!
