Re: Tips on relatively inexpensive restaurants? (by L G.):

Aloha - - Go to La Gondolarina (the Trailer Park) once0 the portions are HUGE, include complimentary early courses, and we get a second meal out of them the next day. - There is usually a local whose wife makes really REALLY tasty tamales - ask any of the PB lifeguards standing on the beach, they'll let you know when he arrives (usually 11-12). He takes your order on the beach, then returns an hour later. Oftentimes daily specials include a meat tamale (chicken, pork or beef) as well as a vegetarian (we've tried the apple, potato, or vanilla raisin all with favorable results) The charge when we were there has been about $1 per tamale. Last time we bought a dozen and fed 4 of us for dinner along. -PB has very reasonable room service - also, they used to let you order off the kids menu- same burger, half price. -Well worth the reasonable price- Mi Casa (both the original and the newest one which is within walking distance to PBB and PBR. Enjoy!
