We love our Marriott timeshare (Shadow Ridge) even though we bought from othe developer (which I wouldn't do again). Trading your week in for points is not a good value. If you do the math you will easily see that. If you can't travel for one week somewhere every year I would either consider an every-other-year purchase or consider not buying a timeshare and just renting a week occasionally here at RW at my convenience and choosing. Just MHO!
