I think communication is the key with both owners and renters. We rented from a Redweek member in Charleston, SC. I could pretty much tell, via our communications, that she was an honest person, although good vibes don't necessarily work in every case.

Also, a rental agreement signed by both owner and renter is a must. The Charleston, SC owner had a rental agreement of her own that we used, but there are rental agreements here on Redweek if one does a search.

I would rent from you in a NY minute, as you seem to have all your ducks in a row and you know exactly what to do.
