Without some direct intervention from Wyndham itself, making a noteworthy exception to their own new system-wide policy (something which is highly unlikely to occur, in my opinion), I'd be inclined to believe that this unfortunate matter is simply now just "water under the bridge" --- unless you chose to undertake some form of a private legal action (i.e., a civil lawsuit) directly against this deceitful entity. Unfortunately, doing so would likely cost you more than the value of the lost 400k Wyndham points...
