First of all you need a rental agreement in place stipulating the terms of the rental (you can search forums for sample rental agreements).
After the rental agreement is signed by both you and the renter then the renter will follow your directions (via the rental agreement) as to payment. Payment is sent to you .... Redweek is not involved.
The sample rental agreement addresses how payment is made (some people require the entire rental fee upon the renter signing the agreement .... some people require a deposit and the balance paid a certain amount of time before the renters arrive) .... it's up to you. As Lance stated you can also choose Paypal.
Ultimately the owner is responsible for any damages that should occur, however damages are rare.... but you can add a stipulation in your rental agreement concerning damages or stolen inventory. All timeshare resorts take credit card info from owners and renters upon check-in.
Also, you can list a certain age bracket concerning your rentals (ie: I would never rent to anyone under the age of 21 during spring break or during summer months).
