Buying, Renting, and Selling Timeshares

New to timeshare renting and Redweek. Need some info and insights

Jan 26, 2009

I don't know if you did this post to just run your rental ad but as Mike stated Redweek will delete it.

You are running a rental ad with all information and I hope being new it is just a honest error.

Rental ads have a place and there is a fee to run your ad!

I joined in December in order to contact an owner about a couple of ads he had posted. He never responded. One of the ads was still there after the week passed, so I don't know if it had already been rented and he neglected to delete it or what. But if that was the case he could have let me know. I hope that isn't typical or I'd have to call it a waste of money. At least it was only $15.

You can contact RedWeek staff and they will try to contact the person who placed the ad (the emails may ended up in the spam folder). Also some ads are placed by TS companies and not by individuals, I've found their responses can be non-existant.

It was an individual. There were messages mentioning him by name by people who had rented from him previously (unless this whole Redweek outfit is a scam.) Did I mention the week has passed? He regularly rents timeshares according to the forums and ads. I would think it would be unlikely the Redweek messages went into spam since Redweek controls it. In my Redweek account the messages I sent are still there. Do you think his Redweek account somehow did away with them? Who are you?

As Mike suggested, have you contacted Redweek about this situation? Contact infomation is at the bottom of this page. Redweek is not a scam .... they can't control who does or does not answer emails, but they will try to investigate the problem you're having.

I paid to become a member on RedWeek and yes I did advertise renting my timeshare week. Why would they delete it if I pay for this? And yes, I am new to this and not sure how it works.

If you paid yes you can have your ad in the rental section.

No you can not give all the information and your contact information on a simple post.

If you could no one would ever pay Redweek to become a member and then pay for the ad too.

If this was the case I know I would only list on my postings everyday!

Hi Connie,

I checked your account and your posting is active. Log in on RedWeek and go to "Your Account" page. Under "Your Timeshare Postings" you should see 1 active. If your posting is under the wrong resort please email support@redweek.com so we can correct it.

Thanks, Marty

This helped me understand the rental process for both sides.

Thank-you, Melliej48
