We bought a timeshare and have had a lot of trouble negotiating all of the ends and outs of it. We'd hoped to rent our developer week to cover our maintenance fees. Unfortunately, it is difficult to do because you can't pin down a date, need to call in advance, etc. Has anyone had success renting their developer week; and if so, how? Your advice is really appreciated. Thanks!

Do you own a certain week (same date each year) or a floating week?
It sounds like you own a floating week from your description. In that case, try to reserve a bright red summer week or any holiday week when the kids are out of school. You'll have better success at renting your unit out.
